When he finally shows up (the day after a third missed appointment with no call), installs the old part, tells us he can't fix it and then refers us to another company.
When we called him, he had us read the numbers off of the manufacturer plate so he could order a part. We gave him the information he asked for. He ordered the part (apparently using the slowest shipping option available), we waited for a week, he shows up, tries to install the part (tore our AC system apart in the process), tells us he ordered the wrong part, orders again (again, not overnight but slowest shipping available).
Update: New company that Pruitt referred us to told us that Pruitt destroyed our AC system and that we now need to replace the entire inside unit. It appears that Pruitt opened the refrigerant lines and vented the refrigerant to the atmosphere (illegal), cut all the wires in the system (unnecessary), and left the system set up to run heat and did so in a way that could not be turned off at the thermostat (say WHAT?).
Pruitt Electric left two elderly women to suffer without AC for 18 days (one of those days the heat index was 109) and fed them BS excuses while stringing them along the whole time.
Our AC went out during the hottest part of the year. We called Pruitt because we have been loyal customers for years and they had provided good service in the past. Not this time.
Pruitt himself did the work (or I should say failed to do the work).
PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS!
Postpones appointments twice (once telling us he lost the part and once telling us that he couldn't make it because it was supposed to rain that day). We never heard if he ordered a third time.
This company provided some of the worst service we have ever experienced.
What we can't figure out is why he would do this.
